The USCF is pleased to announce a new event, the College Chess
Tournament of Champions. It will be held August 2-5 at the U.S. Open
(which will be held August 2-10) in Dallas, Texas at the Westin Park
Central, and will be a six-round Swiss-style event. The purpose is to
determine the top individual college player in the United States. The
prize fund is still to be determined. This event is open to all colleges in the United States. Participants must have been enrolled in the spring semester prior to the U.S. Open. Only one player from each college may enter. An official of their university using the entry form provided by the USCF must certify players. |
