FKB2008logo.jpgChess fans are in for a treat this weekend: In addition to CLO coverage by WIM Alexey Root, you can watch the top boards of the U.S. Championship Qualifier Open on Monroi.com.  Originally, Monroi was not going to be in Tulsa for the Qualifier Open, but tournament director Jon Haskel stepped in at the last minute, since his son, Jeffrey Haskel, is playing in the Qualifier. Jeffrey is on board two in round one, playing against IM Benjamin Finegold.

In the first round, you can watch GMs Fedorowicz, Yermolinsky and Perelshteyn battle against much lower rated, but motivated opponents. Check out Tom Braunlich's preview article here for more on the contenders.
