Hikaru Nakamura qualified to the Cap D'Agde Finals after defeating the legendary Anatoly Karpov in the blitz tiebreak of their semifinal match. Check out his wins over Karpov below and be sure to watch tomorrow, November 1 at 12:30 EST, when Hikaru faces GM Vassily Ivanchuk in the finals. Update: Nakamura defeats Ivanchuk in finals to win Cap D'Agde!



With his victory over Karpov, Nakamura got revenge for Italian-American GM Fabiano Caruana, who lost to Karpov in the quarter finals. Meanwhile, Ivanchuk defeated Magnus Carlsen in his own semi-final match, also in the 3 2 blitz tiebreak round.
