Dallas Warms Up for Big Match with 4-0 Sweep.
![]() Magesh Panchanatan All the members of the Dallas Destiny are University of Texas at Dallas students. Their big win raises morale just in time for a massive international, intercollegiate match tomorrow. On October 20 Friday, at 2 PM EST, 16 University of Texas at Dallas chess team members will face off against 16 players at the University of Serbia. You can watch all the games live on the Internet Chess Club. Magesh Panchanatan led the brigade last night, with a victory over fellow GM Pavel Blehm. It is a credit to the strength of the UTD team that their 16th and final board for the Serbia match tomorrow is the current Denker Champion, Nelson Lopez. Nelson won quickie yesterday against Baltimore's Ralph Zimmer: For more information on tomorrow's match and pictures of all the players on both teams, download the tournament program(pdf).
