The advice given in the book, though mostly basic, is extremely useful. The book also focuses more on verbal explanations than long, drawn-out variations, which is a relief to any reader. Come on, how often do you actually go through every single variation when there’s eight pages of analysis on one move? As Bent Larsen put it, “Long variation, wrong variation.”
