David Bronstein Dies at 82

David Bronstein (1924-2006) was a World Championship contender and an acclaimed chess artist. He died Tuesday,December 5th,2006 in Minsk, Belarus of unknown causes. Bronstein was a pioneer in attack, writing and time control. He will be sorely missed.

Fritz Wins Match 4:2

Kramnik was down a point in the sixth and final match against Deep Fritz (Bonn,Germany Nov.25-Dec.5). Kramnik needed to win to survive, but it was the machine that grinded out a nice endgame win, making the final tally 4:2 in favor of Deep Fritz.
