JenJohn.jpg Listen to my interview with IM John Watson on the Internet Chess Club 's Chess Talk. As part of a U.S. Championship promotional series, Internet Chess Club made the broadcast available to all. Also keep your ears open for more news on the Championship in next week's chess talk (which will also be open to all) featuring Chess Club president and founder Rex Sinquefield and Chess Club Executive Director Tony Rich.  Finally, starting on May 8, Friday, 3 PM EST tune in to the ICC or log on to uschesschamps.com to hear live, streaming audio commentary on the U.S. Championship games by GM Emil Sutovsky and me.

Tomorrow I am off to Saint Louis for a series of promotional events connected with the Championship, starting with a simultaneous exhibition at the Saint Louis Science Center on Saturday May 2, at 11 AM EST. If you live in the area and want to play me, there are still a few spots left- email Nick Heard at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis at [email protected].

Rex Sinquefield and I will also visit the Phillies-Cardinals game on May 4, Monday , and will get a chance to promote the upcoming Championships in an inteview with Mike Shannon.

On May 5 (yes, there's more!), I am part of a panel discussion about a new book I contributed to, Marcel Duchamp: The Art of Chess. That will be held at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis. I'm really excited about this, as I will finally get a chance to see the book in print (the books were rushed from India to Saint Louis specifically for this event), and I also plan to show the video I created with DimMak Films to promote the Duchamp book.

The Championship itself will kick off with an opening ceremony on Thursday night. If you're in the area, sign up for tickets to the games here. I look forward to a very exciting week for chess fans! Don't forget to enter your fantasy team!
